How to Make Rosemary Essential Oils at Home?

It is indeed possible to make your own home version of this oil, but, be warned, it is quite time consuming and a little bit tricky to get spot on. Also, there’s really no way of knowing if you’ve created the best version possible. It may look and smell good, but there’s a chance that your end result is lacking in some area.

However, if you are a DIY enthusiast (fair play to you 😊), then below is a quick step-by-step guide on how you might go about creating your own version:

  1. Get your hands on some quality Rosemary & remove the leaves from the stem
  2. Measure out one cup of these leaves and mix them into a pot with two cups of your chosen type of carrier oil
  3. Put the pot on a cooker & bring it to a simmer as you gently stir with a wooden spoon
  4. Allow this concoction to simmer for six hours
  5. Remove from the heat after this time and allow the pot to settle for an hour before straining
  6. Pour your final result into an opaque jar/container & seal it in a thorough manner until you want to use your new oil
